This used Yamaha Clavinova piano is in great condition and features a clean look, modern styling, and it’s easy to use. From the CLP Clavinova series, it has fewer buttons, making it a perfect piano for someone who wants the convenience and space saving design of a digital piano without an overwhelming panel of controls.
It records! It is MIDI compatible, so you can connect it to a computer or a tablet! It even has three foot pedals like you would expect to find on a new Yamaha Clavinova!
Best of all, it is available for a lot less than new Yamaha Clavinova prices.
While it features the same type of hammer graded action (keys) as comparable new Yamaha Clavinova pianos, it has the older sound engine that some people find more realistic than new models.
About Yamaha Clavinova
Introduced in 1983, the Clavinova (Yamaha’s trade name for “digital piano,” like how Toyota calls their sedan a Camry) was one of the first digital piano brands. Other leading brands at the time included Roland, Technics, and Kurzweil. Of these Roland and Yamaha are considered the two leading surviving brands. Technics stopped making digital pianos in the early 2000’s and Kurzweil is now owned by a different company, putting it in the lower grade of digital pianos that includes Casio and Kawai.
The main difference today between Roland and Yamaha is the principle of their design. Where Clavinovas are designed more like home organs – with more buttons, bells, and whistles – Roland digital pianos are designed to be as much like an acoustic piano – in sound, touch, and look – as possible.
Note: Although our family was a new Yamaha Piano dealer for several years up north, we now only sell used Yamaha grand pianos, used Yamaha baby grand pianos, used Yamaha Disklavier pianos, and used Yamaha Clavinova digital pianos. We also service all brands.
