Who is the Weber Piano Company?
Weber Piano Company was founded in 1852 by Albert Weber in New York. Albert, an immigrant from Bavaria, became a piano builder apprentice, eventually opening his own business on West Broadway and White Street in Manhattan. The company was moved a short time later to Broadway and Jones Street, but after a fire in 1854, they relocated again, and then several more times in the coming years, around the Manhattan area. In their heyday, they were among the priciest pianos available.
They eventually became part of the Aolian-American piano company and today new Weber pianos are build by Young Chang.
