From Kawai’s “Golden Era,” this used baby grand has been beautifully maintained.
It’s already got a Pianomation Player Piano system installed, so it’s ready to go. Just plug and play!
It can also be easily upgraded to the new Cloud Player system and integrated into any home audio system.
While Kawai no longer builds their smaller pianos in their main factory, this is a Japanese built (main factory) Kawai in the hard to find rich, warm ivory finish!
Compared to new models, this piano uses the same design features including copper-wound bass strings, agraffes, solid wood key sticks, and spruce soundboard.
In August 1927, Koichi Kawai founded his piano company in Hamamatsu, Japan with his partners. Following his death in 1955, Shigeru Kawai became company president and served until Koichi’s grandson, Hirotaka, took over in 1989.
In an effort to combat American’s negative sentiment for Japanese products at the time, Kawai produced a small number of pianos in the USA from 1988 until 2003. Today, the company builds pianos in Japan and Indonesia.
