Is it possible for a piano to be “more unique?”
This beautiful used Steinway Model M grand piano is truly a one-of-a-kind. First, it is adorned in a wonderfully rich North American Cherry finish, with warm red tones and a soothing, contrasting grain. Second, it is one of the few Hepplewhite style Crown Jewel pianos that Steinway & Sons ever produced in the Model M size. Most were the smaller Model S.
Finally, it was signed by the legendary Steinway Artist Van Cliburn. Believed to have signed very few pianos before passing in 2013, the master’s endorsement serves as a fitting tribute to this truly remarkable instrument.
For those who prefer to appreciate than to play, this Steinway includes a Pianomation Player Piano system – simply sit back and enjoy.
One of the best known pianists of all time, the Juilliard School graduate made history in 1958 when he became the first american to win the International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow. He returned home to a ticker-tape parade and was named “The Texan Who Conquered Russia” by Time Magazine. Later in life, he became one of the only people in history to win the Russian Order of Friendship and the Presidential Medal of Freedom – the highest civilian honors of the two countries.
